What’s included in the price
The posted prices cover my time: the inspection, the diagnosis and the work itself. They don’t include parts like spark plugs, filters, belts, fuel lines or carburetors, because those depend completely on your machine and what’s wrong with it.
Keeping parts separate means you don’t pay for a part your machine doesn’t need. Before I order or install anything, I tell you what it needs and what it’ll cost.
What changes the cost
Two machines with the same symptom can need very different work. The main things that move the price:
- What’s actually wrong. A plugged carb jet is a different job from a scored cylinder.
- The parts it needs. A spark plug and a full carburetor are not the same price.
- How long it’s been sitting. Machines left with old fuel for a season or more usually need more cleaning.
- The type of machine. Set-price services cover mowers, snowblowers and generators; quads, bikes and riders are billed hourly.
- Pick-up or drop-off. Tell me which you’d prefer in the form and I’ll include it when I give you the price.
Why the brand doesn’t limit you
Some shops only service the brands they sell. I work on any brand, so you don’t need to track down a specific dealer. Honda, Briggs, Toro, Husqvarna, Stihl, Yamaha, Polaris: it doesn’t matter.
